Excerpts from A Course in Miracles
Jesus Christ, like all transformative figures, achieved healing by holding a vision of wholeness that was stronger than the belief in illness. He understood that sickness stems from misguided thinking rather than being an unchangeable reality. If Jesus had acknowledged sickness and death as having true power, he wouldn’t have been able to heal the sick or raise the dead. His consciousness was deeply rooted in the invincibility of Spirit, and this elevated those around him to the higher realm in which he existed. When others aligned with this frequency, healing naturally followed.
Healing begins with a shift in consciousness – from separation to unity, from fear to love. By seeing perfection and embracing wholeness, you can mend any brokenness. Replace fear with love, and transformation will follow.
When you cultivate inner peace, you align yourself with grace, attracting everything you need effortlessly. As the Psalm says, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.”
A mindset of abundance ensures you have all you need without struggle. Recognizing the richness already present in your life allows your needs to manifest as a reflection of that wealth mentality.
True Generosity
The difference between worldly gifts and divine gifts is simple: worldly gifts diminish as they’re given, while divine gifts multiply. Physical gifts are finite, but spiritual gifts – like love, kindness, and forgiveness—enrich both the giver and the receiver. When you give these gifts, you experience their essence in the very act of giving. As the Bible says, “My cup runneth over.”
The Ego’s Illusion of Peace
The ego creates endless conditions for peace, always tied to external changes: a spouse’s habits, a child’s grades, or someone else’s behaviour. Peace, in this view, is always just out of reach. Even when some conditions are met, new ones arise, perpetuating dissatisfaction.
But if the world is a dream and its characters are actors in your story, you don’t need external changes to find peace. True freedom comes from changing your perspective. Enlightenment isn’t about altering the world—it’s about recognizing the truth. As the Course in Miracles states, “Heaven is the decision I must make.” The goal isn’t to manage behavior but to elevate consciousness.
The ultimate miracle is the shift from fear to love. Fear is an illusion; only love is real.
The Happy Dream
True discovery doesn’t come from seeking new places but from seeing with new eyes. Let peace, not conflict, be the foundation of your life.
Becoming a Channel for Miracles
If you feel drained after helping others, you’ve forgotten that the Higher Power is the true source of miracles. You’re not the healer—you’re the channel. Miracles are natural expressions of love, and love is the real miracle. Anxiety arises when you believe you’re acting alone. Fear is a sign you’re relying on your own strength instead of divine guidance.
Teach Through Love
The most impactful teachers in your life likely transformed you not through their words but through their presence and the love they radiated.
Your Mission
Your mission isn’t to change others but to transform your own consciousness. When you commit to extending peace, you’ll find it within yourself.
A New Purpose
Teaching and learning are inseparable. The ultimate lesson we’re here to master is inner peace.
Graduation Day
When healing becomes more appealing than pain, you’ll naturally choose actions that heal. Life offers endless opportunities to practice forgiveness, and inner peace is the only true measure of progress. Absence of peace is simply a call to keep practicing.
Every thought, word, and action reflects a choice between love and fear. Always choose love.
The body’s purpose is to communicate love. Any other use is meaningless. When you use your body to express Spirit, it will thrive.
The ego is a limited concept of who you are and isn’t equipped to guide you toward peace. Beyond the physical world lies the real world, where everything you desire already exists. You can access it by remembering your spiritual identity.
There is no sin, only errors in perception. You are already forgiven.
The Purpose of Relationships
Relationships exist to bring joy. Celebrate and appreciate everyone, for they are as lovable as you are. Unkindness is simply a call for love. Evil holds no power because it doesn’t come from God. Love is the only true power.
You don’t need to earn salvation – it’s already yours. You are worthy simply because you exist. The universe is abundant, and you have everything you need right now. Believe this fully, and abundance will flow effortlessly.
Heaven on Earth
Your purpose is to make the world more like heaven. Worry less, laugh more, and let love guide you.
