No matter who you are, where you come from, or what your life looks like, you have spirit guides sending you helpful messages.
Guides and angels are from different streams of consciousness. Guides are part of the human stream and have been incarnate. Angels are emanations directly from the divine source and will never incarnate.
Our higher guides usually describe themselves as having had many incarnations on the earth plane. They work in groups on the ‘other side’ and want to communicate with us in order to help us with our healing, knowledge, understanding and quality of living. Without exception, they refer to the imminence of a ‘golden age’. They want to help us prepare for the time when humanity will live together in peace and harmony.
We all have a guardian angel and at least one guide. If you are willing to let go of various layers of conditioning, you can learn to sense these beings and to recognise their signs and communications. Most people seek some spiritual guidance.

Archangels
Archangels are leaders in the angel world and have a powerful, very large energy signature. If you’re an empath or are sensitive to energy, when you call on an archangel you might feel an energy shift in the room. Each archangel has a specialty, like Archangel Raphael’s who works with healing and can work with countless humans at once.
Guardian angels
Guardian angels are yours exclusively, and we each have more than one. Guardian angels have devoted their lives to helping just you. Call on them anytime for immediate assistance. They love you unconditionally, forever. Remember that angels are nondenominational and work with people of all faiths and spiritual beliefs.
Spirit animals
Spirit animals might be a pet you once had who passed away and is now part of your spiritual guidance squad. Spirit animals can also be any animal that has something to teach you, like the peacock teaching you the importance of inner beauty or confidently owning your gifts, or the wolf showing you the importance of getting your survival needs met. Spirit animals could show up for the first time in a dream, in your backyard, or on your co-worker’s coffee mug.
Ascended masters
Ascended masters like Buddha or Mother Mary were once human, living journeys of deep spiritual growth and influence. Now they have a special place as leaders in the spirit world and as guides/teachers to humans like you. All ascended masters are partners and work together in harmony, no matter what culture or religion they were part of when they were alive.
Helper angels
Helper angels are “freelance angels,” so to speak, who are just looking for humans to help with specific situations, and will show up when you have a need like finding a new place to live or finding a new office space.
Are our guides assigned to us or have we known them in other lifetimes?
The guidance relationship grows throughout evolution and we will usually have met our guides in previous incarnations. When a human soul begins its journey, it is a spark which splits off from source. The yin and the yang then split and take their independent journeys, sometimes living male lives and sometimes female lives but at the deepest level they will carry either a stronger yin or a stronger yang imprint.
Twin souls share an original spark and when all incarnations are complete, the two strands will become one again. Twin souls do not always incarnate at the same time. Souls belong to families and groups.
Your guides will always be from your immediate soul group and probably from your soul family. Occasionally your guide might be your twin soul as it is possible for the evolution of one soul strand/string to be more accelerated than that of the other.
There are low-level entities from other dimensions who can and do masquerade as guides and could gain the attention of gullible listeners. There are also people channelling who haven’t cleared their own psychological baggage sufficiently, who might colour the source because of a need to be seen as ‘chosen’.
It is very rare that one’s grandmother for example, would be one’s guide. Our departed loved ones are always with us in spirit but are not generally our guides. Our guides are highly evolved beings. After death there is much personal work and healing to be done before decisions are made with regards to continued work and evolution.
One can have more than one guide. Some people become aware that their guide is the ‘spokesperson’ for a group of guides. If teaching is required, the guide will generally be in masculine form and if healing is required, more female form.
How do spirit guides communicate with us?
Spirit guides will often enter your life by sending you signs, also called synchronicities. Carl Jung defined synchronicity as “a meaningful coincidence.”
An example would be realizing you need to improve your romantic relationship after having a fight with your partner before bedtime, and out of the blue the next day you notice a book about communication in romantic relationships sitting on a co-worker’s desk.
Spirit guides could also communicate to you through numbers or number sequences like 111, or you might have a lucky number, and when you go for a job interview, your lucky number is in the company’s address.
Spirit guides could talk to you by sending musical messages, like a song that always inspires you, playing on the radio when you get in the car after a rough day.
Spirit guides might send you a dream that gives you an idea about how to handle a situation, or a guide could even appear to you in a dream.
Spirit guides even send helpful people and opportunities your way, another form of communication that often requires you to take action (asking an interesting new person in your life out to lunch, buying a ticket to a transformational workshop) regarding the person or opportunity your guide has sent or somehow put on your radar.
There are people who channel, who regularly receive messages from guides who identify themselves as coming from other planets, or even other galaxies.
Your guardian angel will always be with you throughout your present lifetime, from gestation to death. With each incarnation, you will have a new guardian angel.
Guilt is almost always a part of the process when facing negative emotions. We hold onto the negativity and this holds back our spiritual progress. It can also hold back self-forgiveness and the healing of one’s self-image. At these times, we need the angels of transmutation. Openly hand over to these angels, all your pain and regret, they will welcome your gifts with love. From this heaviness, they will weave light.
True healers, whether they are doctors, homeopaths, energy healers, are all supported by invisible helpers. The ability to heal is in each one of us.
When we channel healing we automatically draw our guides and angels close. They inspire and direct the healing flow and use us as the necessary transforming bridge across which healing energy must come in order to be used by the physical and energy body. A named angel can engender a greater sense of focus. Archangel Raphael inspires healers and comforts those who are sick in body, mind or spirit.
